5th Meeting of Benola’s PPIT

On the 26th of January 2016, Benola's Project Planning and Implementation Team(PPIT) held its 5th Meeting and the first for the new year at Peninsula Hotel and Towers, Lekki Phase One, Lagos.

The meeting which was convened to chart the course of the organizations activities for the year 2016 and plan for their actualization, deliberated on and arrived at the following decisions;

a. The need to commence a Cerebral Palsy Parents Network which will to hold every other month with the inaugural edition scheduled for Saturday 13th February 2016.

b. The need for regular outreaches to Cerebral Palsy Families in order to assist them with soft food items, toiletries, medication etc

c. The need to help Cerebral Palsy families source for specialized equipment like Pediatric Wheel Chairs. Walkers, Standing/Seating Frames etc

d. The need to provide relevant literature and information materials to raise CP awareness and support advocacy campaigns

e. The need to help build capacity for Healthcare professional, parents, caregivers, students and other interest groups

In addition, the PPIT discussed modalities for the celebration of Benola’s 3rd Anniversary which comes up on 25th of February 2016 as well as ways to raise funds to support all the noble and life changing activities of the organization.

The meeting which was well attended, with a few new members joining in, rounded up on a high note with all members pledging to commit more of their time and resources towards the actualization of Benola’s vision to change the face of Cerebral Palsy and disability management in Africa.
