City FM 105.1’s partnership with Benola started yesterday morning, 31 July 2014, on a high note with my appearance on their Morning Show, “Bre

akfast in the City.” The program which started at 7am, provided an excellent platform for me to showcase Benola’s vision and our 2nd National Cerebral Palsy Family Forum. For the first hour, I joined On-Air Personalties Kemi Smalls and Samson Akindele as they both engaged the public in discussions on Ebola, the controversial Federal Government’s cash gift some Chibok parents and the performance of our Armed Forces so far in the battle against Boko Haram. Thereafter, Dan Foster took the stage and engaged me in a 90 minute interaction about Benola and the Family Forum. In fact the Benola Song went down so well with Dan that he played it at least 5 times in the course of the program.

When the show ended at 10am, I was taken to the production room where I helped put together a jingle for the Family Forum which they promised to air all through Saturday morning 2ndAugust 2014. What followed next was a 30 minute one on one session with Dan Foster after which he gave me insights on how together with the station, we could work to raise awareness about Cerebral Palsy and funding to support Benola’s work. Before finally leaving the station at about 11:30am, I met briefly with the GM of the station who assured me of their commitment to partnering with Benola to change the face of Cerebral Palsy in Africa.

Meanwhile, we're already at Peninsula Hotel working to put finishing touches to tomorrows event.
