About Saturday, 29th May 2021's edition of Hang Out With the Boss, when Benola’s Co-Founder and Exective Director, Mrs Alaba Gbadebo aka @feroda_gee

She shared her experience as Mother to Olaoluwa, the 25-year-old, non-verbal and fully dependent Face of Benola who is living with Cerebral Palsy.

Drawing from the often repeated quote, 'God will never give someone what he or she will not be able handle in life', she shared her journey alone with him for much of his first 12 years because of her husband's military career which kept him away from home and how despite the odds, she never contemplated giving up on her son.

In a presentation that was well spiced with pictures, she showed how Olaoluwa has been a blessing to first, the family and later with advent of the Initiative, other families of children and adults living with Cerebral Palsy.

In closing, she adviced CP families, particularly the young ones, to stop hiding their children at home and always visit specialists for medical advice, therapy and relevant medications.

The Question and Answer Session was quite lively and the feedback was very positive.
